What is it? Asc2silo is a comand-line utility to convert ASCII formatted files into SILO binary data files. SILO is the input format used by MeshTV, the open source visualization tool from Lawrence Livermore Labs, USA. What can I do with it? If you use or develop programs in Computational Fluid Dynamics, which output data as ASCII files, and want to visualize these data with an open source visualization tool, you can use asc2silo to convert your data to SILO binary format, and input them into MeshTV. How can I get it? Asc2silo is free software and is distributed under the GNU Plublishing License. You can download it as source code or in some binary format in the download page. Anything more? Yes. Asc2silo project is hosted at SourceForge.
